1. Discuss the imperative that nurses have for using media to promote nursing's expertise and population health.
2. Conduct an audience analysis for an issue.
3. Develop frames for an issue that target different audiences.
4. Develop key messages to support frames for different audiences.
5. Identify stories, facts and data to support key messages.
6. Demonstrate competence in being interviewed by a journalist.
7. Draft an Op Ed on an issue of interest.
8. Develop a media plan for advancing one's nursing expertise on an important issue.
